Thank-you South Bend softball community!  With the economy worse than most can remember, we expected a huge drop off in summer league registrations.  Never under estimate the South Bend community.  Softball players, really love and appreciate their game.  While sponsorship money was very scarce and tough to find - you came through, again.  We may actually increase the level of participation from 2008.

 

Now the staff enters the stressful scheduling faze.  The process consumes our every moment as we attempt to mix and match teams in an effort to achieve competative balance.  Nobody wants to lose every week.  Nobody wants to get run ruled.  We study last years results, won-loss records and runs scored vs. runs allowed.  We attempt to honor all special requests.  Even with an expensive and sophisticated computer scheduling program, we have so many unique variables that the process is very daunting.

 

Team managers should remember that team bags need to be picked up at the complex Thursday, April 16 - 4-7 p.m., Friday, April 17 - 4-7 p.m., or Saturday, April 18 - 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.  It is preferred that the manager actually pickup the team bag, as we ask each representative to sign an affidavit, swearing that they have indeed picked up their materials and have reviewed the following:
